Visit the city of Coruña and discover all its secrets. Did you know that here you can see the only Roman lighthouse in the world that is still in operation? Stroll through its streets and delight in the views of the Atlantic Ocean. Before returning to Santiago, we will visit Betanzos, a town known for its famous tortilla. You can’t miss it!
Route:
We will leave from Santiago de Compostela at 09:30 in the morning towards the town of Betanzos, one of the seven ancient provinces of the Kingdom of Galicia. Discover one of the best preserved historic centers in the area and immerse yourself in its Gothic monuments.
After getting to know the town, we couldn’t leave without tasting omelette, a typical dish of Betanceira gastronomy. It is a lightly curd tortilla that is very famous in the area… finger-licking good!
After lunch, we will leave for Coruña where we will take a guided tour of the city discovering its streets and monuments: Plaza de María Pita, Jardín de San Carlos, Riazor beach… and of course, the famous Tower of Hercules.
We will head to Santiago around 5:30 p.m.
