Feel the Atlantic breeze with a round trip excursion from Santiago, discovering the wonderful landscapes of the Costa da Morte and discover the end of the Camino de Santiago in the sea, where KM 0 is located. A place of pilgrimage for ancient Celts and Romans.
Route:
Leaving Santiago de Compostela, we head to a privileged enclave, Pontemaceira, a place of passage for pilgrims to Finisterre, here we will learn the stories that the locals tell us about this unique place where you can breathe tranquility.
Afterwards, we will go to Muxía to visit the Sanctuary of the Virgen de la Barca. In this place, the rocks hide countless legends and mysteries.
We will continue the visit to the Finisterre Lighthouse, “end of the earth” and end of the Camino de Santiago, where hundreds of pilgrims arrive every day. An emblematic place for Celtic and Roman cultures. We will learn about all the rituals that were carried out in this magical place.
To eat, we will go to the town of Finisterre, where we will be able to taste the local cuisine, dominated by fresh products from the Atlantic Ocean. We will have approximately two hours of free time.
After lunch, we will make two more stops: we will visit the unique Cascada del Ézaro and the Hórreo de Carnota, one of the largest in Galicia.
On our return to Santiago de Compostela we will be able to enjoy the landscape that the Muros estuary offers us and the guide will tell us more stories and legends, to make this day a complete day full of legends, stories and unique landscapes.
