Information

Coruña is one of the cities with the most leisure activities and bars in Galicia. Located on the Atlantic coast, we will enjoy some examples of Galician gastronomy with different and varied tapas. We will tour the old Pescadería neighborhood, where the fishing port was and which has now become the leisure and cultural center of the city.

We warn you that the tapas are quite large so you probably won’t be hungry for dinner!

The tour consists of walking along Calle Galera and Barrera going to the most famous taverns and bars where people from A Coruña usually go to find good tapas.

We will start at 7:00 p.m. in the famous Plaza del Obelisco. From there we will go to the first tavern, where you will have the opportunity to taste Albariño or Mencía wine, so famous in Galicia. The tapa will be a surprise, since they cook a special one every day.

Next we will go in search of a place very famous for its hoteliers who have been working in the city for many years and then we will go in search of the famous Coruña squid and the Padrón Peppers, which as you know: “some are hot and others are not.”

We will continue to another place famous for the tapa “Julia’s egg”, and we will discover why it is so special.

Finally we will end up in another famous bar famous for the “raxo” styles they cook. A Galician dish, not so famous for its name. but in Galicia there is no shortage of it in any of the famous gastronomic fairs that are held.

NOTE: Not suitable for vegetarians or vegans (in Coruña it is very difficult to find a variety of tapas that do not contain ingredients of animal origin, but you can write to us without problem so we can recommend veggie places).
